on this, the eve of another november 5, may the power of destiel deliver us into democracy yet again

(also everyone in the us who is eligible and hasn’t already done so, please go vote!)

dotthings:

For some of us, this is the third time we’ve had to be part of the firewall to stop Trump (and the efforts failed the first time). It is impossible to describe what this election feels like. Please vote.

It’s also not just about the POTUS election. Democrats will need control of the House and Senate to enact good change, otherwise the GOP will be able to block and block and block. Please vote.

If you think because you live in a blue state your vote won’t impact things—I live in a blue state and there are some district elections that could potentially determine control of the House of Representatives. Please vote.

parentheticalaside:

My dream for the election is that it’s definitive. I want a 2012-style Election Day where everyone built it up beforehand to possibly be close but then the results start rolling in and it was like “Oh, nevermind. It’s obviously Obama. Everyone go to bed.”

I just want voters to put a stake right through the heart of Trumpism so that it crumbles to ash before our eyes. That’s the dream.

I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.
